An Anonymous Gift: Psy’Aviah Adafruit x0xb0x (TB-303 Mod / Replica)

There was a nice surprise waiting for me (Yves) yesterday.. A postal package.. without any identifiable sender.. Strange, the only thing I knew that I didn’t order anything in particular of the size, nor that I was told something would arrive for me.. The only thing I knew was that it was shipped from the “UK”.. So if anyone out there shipped this to me, let me say, let me shout THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Because what was hidden inside was a real surprise, a nice little gem => A custom-made/modified x0xb0x.. And what we understand by custom made? Well, pictures explain more than words:

And this is the design made by our anonymous donator.. Notice the “arrows” that reference to our “Eclectric”-album artwork, and notice our band-name “Psy’Aviah” on the back (where the connector inputs are)… A real gem:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The x0xb0x is basically a hardware emulation of the Roland TB303. But it offers more than the original:

• USB port where you can control the x0xb0x. Java software will control the x0xb0x, or let you save/edit stored patterns and tracks in the onboard memory.
• A lot of input/output modes (MIDI, CV/Gate, DIN Sync, etc..)
