On our latest album ‘Eclectric’ we invited some guests to sing and/or write a track with us. We like collaborating, trying out new directions together with another musician or vocalist. Every now and then we feature one of these collaborations with some information on how it went about, why we chose the artist, some background information on the featured artist, some info on what the track is about and a small teaser video showcasing the track.

A rather unusual featuring this time, because when we asked Geert de Wilde from IC 434 to remix our track “Anger Management” he delivered us a completely new song! A “re-take” as Geert calls it, adding his own vocals and the trademark IC 434 sound based on the the Korg M1 synthesizer.

Besides contributing a remix, or re-take, Geert de Wilde also did the mastering for our album at his Breakdown Studio in Antwerp.

IC 434′s most recent release is “Bacteriate”, released on Infacted Recordings. But Geert is also known for his other projects such as Pangea or even Tales of Doom.

This time around we present you “Jean-Luc De Meyer”, he sang on Ophélie, in French. The song is based on the poem “Ophélie” by Arthur Rimbaud.

We met Jean-Luc briefly at the BIM-Festival where he saw us perform. He later told us he liked our performance and we then asked him if he’d like to join us for a track, the rest is history..

Jean-Luc is a busy man, and has more projects behind the main one (Front 242) he also has 32Crash, Modern Cubism, etc..

“Mental Slavery” is the new club-minded album written by LEAETHER STRIP. We made a remix of the track “Slow” which features Emélie on backing vocals . Our remix will be featured on the 3CD Limited Edition, which features other remixers such as PORTION CONTROL, E-CRAFT, Sebastian Komor, KANT KINO,AUTODAFEH, etc.

We arrived back from the Hellektrocution event, part 7 that took place in Le KLub, Paris. Due to the cancelling of Tenebrarum Infanteus, because of a member being ill, Geert de Wilde decided to do a IC 434 surprise gig! (PS: look at the poster for the correct line-up) We had a great time before, during and after the concert!

We played a lot of songs from our new album Eclectric (e.g. Keep Hope Alive, Anger Management, Sweet Hard Revenge, Paranoid, etc..) but also Entertainment Industries, Tired and even Infected & Voltage during the encore.

For the debut album of Freakangel, “The Faults Of Humanity” we were asked to remix their track “Together Against It”.

But.. we made a kind of unusual approach to remixing this time, we started from scratch and rebuild the whole song to fit our sound.. This includes also that Emélie is on vocals..
